BASKETBALL VICTORIA ANNUAL PARTICIPANT LICENCE

Basketball Victoria Annual Participant Licence for Players (per 365-days)

The Basketball Victoria Annual Participant License/Affiliation  is a rolling license which is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Please note that you will be billed for this if your license is due to expire during the course of the upcoming season.

Participants will only need to pay once when they register per 365-day period, irrespective of how many teams or associations they play-in, all in the one PlayHQ profile.

If you are a returning player, it is important that you use the same email address that was used when paying your registration fees last season. You will only be charged the BV Participant License Fee if you are required to pay it.

This is a statewide participation licence that applies to domestic, tournament and junior representative player registrations and is charged when the player doesn't already have a licence that covers them for the entirety of the season they're registering to.

Fees from January 1, 2024:

  • $29 – Junior (17 and under) participant

  • $43 – Senior (18 and over) participant

OTHER FEES
Basketball Australia & PlayHQ

Basketball Australia Game Development Levy

  • From January 1, 2024, an annual Basketball Australia Game Development levy of $5.00 + GST ($5.50) per competition player will be introduced nationwide. The levy will be collected by Basketball Australia and the revenue generated by the levy will be allocated to projects designed to benefit community basketball.

  • This levy will be applicable to all players participating in regular season competitions, excluding coaches, officials, volunteers, and administrators (unless they are also registered as basketball players). For clarity, the levy will be payable by those who are required to hold a Basketball Victoria Licence and will operate in the same manner as the Basketball Victoria Licence and be payable annually via PlayHQ.

PlayHQ Service Fee

  • In 2024 PlayHQ are introducing a 1.89% service fee charged to participants on all transactions added at the time of checkout.

  • The collection of this fee will ensure PlayHQ can continue to build features to make administrator roles easier and elevate the current participant experience.
